Dr. Natthapoj Vincent Trakulphadetkrai is awarded the Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) today.
According to the HEA, this category of Fellowship, is awarded to academics who can "provide evidence of a sustained record of effectiveness in relation to teaching and learning, incorporating for example, the organisation, leadership and/or management of specific aspects of teaching and learning provision".
There are four Fellowship categories or levels. Starting from the entry level to the most senior level, these levels are: Associate Fellowship, Fellowship, Senior Fellowship and Principal Fellowship.
Commenting on this professional recognition, Dr. Trakulphadetkrai said that: "I am thrilled to have been recognised as the Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. This recognition is a reflection of my attempt, as Founder of the MathsThroughStories.org initiative, to influence teacher educators at other universities to incorporate the Maths Through Stories training workshop as part of their teacher training programme, as well as my attempt, as Chair of the Institute of Education's Teaching and Learning Group on Assessment Literacy, to encourage lecturers at various departments across the University to ascertain their students' understanding level of their assessment rubrics and to use such data to explore ways to increase the clarity of those rubrics."
